Time for Celebration

Not only is Enigma near completion for the summer online issue, we also would like to bring to your attention many schemes and events to celebrate all manners literary (including our own!)

Earlier on this month we saw the launch of the new Ted Hughes award, funded with Carol Ann Duff’s stipend. This basically showcases any form of poetry from all ages, and a £5000 prize will be given to the one who gives the most exciting contribution! This could take part in recordings, drama clips, almost anything goes. This follows Enigma’s ethos to an E I feel, and it also leads on to us accepting work, recordings and clips of your poetry for the website. There is also the Foyle’s Young Poet of the Year award, found at http://www.poetrysociety.org.uk/content/competitions/fyp/, the first viral competition of the Poetry Society! I love their ad, go check it out!

As for us, Enigma is planning an Open Mic night at the Cross Kings at Kings Cross in London (what a tongue twister!). Check this space for details!
